Cottagecore
Hedge-flower, wax candle, butter dish.
Sage, butter yellow, dusty lavender, stone gray. A press-flower decal pressed under topcoat. Cottagecore is the only manicure where length is irrelevant — a stub of a nail and a long oval read the same when the color is right. The color does the work. This look says: I bake without measuring. I have an apron. I do not own gloss anything. The finishes are matte, satin, never wet-look. Wet-look is a city finish. Cottagecore is a country finish. The risk is reading dowdy. The fix is a single saturation note — a stem-green tip, a buttercup lacquer, a single oxblood — dropped into the pastel field as proof of pulse.
