Ink Brush

One stroke, one nail, the rest blank.

A black brush mark across the ring finger nail; the other nine bare. Ink brush is the manicure for people who do not want to be in their nails very often, but on the occasions they want to, want to be in them entirely. It is the manicure that looks expensive because it is calibrated, not because it is dense. The brushstroke must be a single decision: one angle, one pressure, one length. No corrections. No second pass. The whole look fails if the brush hesitates. Wear it the day after a haircut, not the week after.
